Well we are off! I have managed to get a few things ready so it shouldn’t be too lonesome around here. I thought I would post about some of my favorite summer indulgences.

First up: Corny summer musicals, specifically Summer Stock
What’s not to love? Theatre people on a farm. Judy Garland in overalls, Gene Kelly with his jeans rolled up.
Bright red tractors, yard birds, aprons, gingham curtains, a love triangle or two and tap dancing.
And it all takes place in the summer – which is critical to my summer movie list -and in technicolor. Golly I love technicolor. It just makes everything look so cheery.
