make do {and make lovely} monday -as-is

Y’all know I love some good trash.

I love a great side-of-the-road find.

This mattress frame is my latest find.

This wooden grid is the bottom of an old bunk-bed mattress. You know, the kind that doesn’t need a box spring with it?

I am toying with various ideas for how to use it long term- swimsuit/towel drying rack? add hooks and use as a bathroom towel rack? hang from the ceiling and hang puts from it?  keep it as a gallery piece and display revolving art on it? perhaps family pictures?  put a mirror or chalkboard behind it?

Should I paint it? A bright mustard, pinky red or aqua?

Oh the possibilities!

For now it will stay as it is.

Inspiration, time and resources will collide eventually and I will transform it into something new.

But today it is looking awfully cute leaned up against the wall as-is, don’t ya think?
