I am back from my wonderful retreat. I have lots of stories to tell, but with only 10 days left of my summer vacation I also have lots of crafty projects for the book and swimming and popsicle eating to do with the boys before I go back to work, so it may take me a while to get back to regular posting.
The temp’s are already out of control here in Arkansas. Yesterday around 4pm I heard the radio dj say “it’s 98 degrees but it feels like 106.” Wowsers.
So to beat the heat we are indoors a lot, and while I am tackling all the laundry and cleaning up after projects and countless snacks and lunches that a house, I will be watching my favorite summer movies.
This is my list – do you have any to add? Would love to add a few new ones (or old ones!)
You may like to watch 'Notbook' it is a bit of a weepy but very enjoyable. I wish our temps were at least half of yours. Here in the UK we are lucky if it reaches 20 but at least the English Rose complection is not in danger….
Have a lovely day, keep safe, be happy.

How about Water For Elephants – I think it is coming out soon!!
Welcome back! I love your favorite summer movie list! Two of my “older” favorites are “Mr. Wonderful” (Matt Dillon & Annabella Sciorra) and “Down to You” (Freddie Prinze Jr. & Julia Stiles) They are both kinda cheesy, but I'm a softie for the occasional cheesy romance 🙂
Love your list. I would add Iris http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iris_(film) and The Holiday http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0457939/
I haven't seen A Good Year, I'll add it to my list 🙂
oh, and Love Actually.
Happy summering.
Diabra
French Kiss! Another movie I watch over and over and over.
Try to find June Bride….I think it was made in the 40's? Barney Fife's girlfriend was on it as a young girl! Worth the watch!
I'm so glad you're back. I don't have a blog, but I read some – including yours… I love your name – and I've read Blue like Jazz, which you have listed in your blog. I respect your blog so much and look forward to reading it. I like to thrift and find cool stuff, too…. anyways, thank you for sharing your life. Blessings.
I've got Fried Green Tomatoes, Little Women and Miss Potter on my list. I've seen them all before but they are favorites for sure. Enjoy your 10 days!
August Rush, hands down, one of the best movies I've seen in a while!!!

My favourite romantic film is still Green Card.
I just finished reading The Help on your reccomendation, -loved it.
Welcome back. x
