If you didn’t know already, chickens are funny creatures
They like to go in circles, they run in a tight knit group and they are not really great at posing for pictures. Oh, and they talk all the time. Except for the picture thing, they are just like 6th grade girls.
They are far more interested in pecking the dirt, scratching the ground and tripping over each other than most anything else. Life is pretty much all about pecking and pecking order. Again, let me just say: 6th grade girls.
What’s up chicken butt? (Hehe. I love to say that.)
Another similarity is that they show their hinies. A lot.
The boys are in love. Just look at that cool-aid stained face, what a look of love.
Having these little critters is good for them. Good for them to learn to care for other living things besides themselves. It is good for them to have to do dirty jobs that they don’t love that serve the needs of the our whole family. Like cleaning cages and coops and the like.
Lovely Farm in the City has begun. Let the lovely chaos ensue.
I'm observing you & your family with you recently added chicks as part of an experiment to see if I could tolerate said addition to my family!! 🙂 Here's hoping! 🙂 Cute chicken hinies…
ooh..I'm looking forward to watching these babies grow. They're adorable 🙂
I didn't know you got babies! Yay! Welcome to the chicken club of PH! 🙂
Chickens and books? I am so excited for you! So much going on with you! Congratulations on both.
I just pulled my poster out of it's box yesterday. I never hung it while we were in the rental. I wanted to wait for the new house. I can't wait to get it on the wall and to see it's bright happy message every live-long day! Thank you again!
My sister has chickens inside her back yard…..when I visit her, I love to just listen to their cluck cluck clucking…….I'd love to hear your chicks do the same!
