Winter skies and cold temps are the perfect excuses I need to stay inside, curl up in the bed and read, read, read.
Here is what is stacked next to my bed currently (only the light wasn’t great so I brought them all outside for their photo shoot.)
I have a confession. I have never read anything by Kaye Gibbon. I feel that this somehow makes me unAmerican, so when I found this copy at the thrift store I decided to give it a go.
For some reason I can’t bring myself to read Ellen Foster just yet.
We will see how this one goes first.

I am my father’s child. I love a good, well written mystery with a smart and witty sleuth
The Spenser Mysteries are my current addiction.
(Sorry Daddy, I am reading them out of order.)
I always love Maeve Binchey even though I have no idea how to spell her name.
I love how she weaves so many characters and stories together, and how exact she describes them, sometimes down to their socks.
Great book. Daily readings also available online: http://commonprayer.net/
My first Posey book. It really is a good companion with lots of pictures and instructions. Simple but practical. Beautiful but doable.
My current favorite magazine.
Reading it is like going home.
So that is what I am reading right now…
What about you? Do you have any must-read suggestions for 2011?
working on the Common Prayers.
thinking on the common part.
Currently reading The Postmistress with several more on my nightstand/kindle.
Have you joined Goodreads? It's a great way to keep track of what you have read, want to read, discover new books, etc. But my favorite part is the bookswap. You can look through lists of books that others list (and also list your own) and request the book. You only pay for shipping which is $4 or less. It's a great way to read on a budget!
