Well, miracles do happen. Here’s a picture to prove it.
Miles Simon Cash Greer is known by the following nicknames at our house:
Milesy Man,
Baby Bird,
Destructo Baby
and
Up-Down Boy
The last 2 should give you some indication of his energy level and temperament. Also, he is notorious for being hungry before everyone else, demanding that we stop all other activity to feed him. Then when we finally sit down to eat our meal, after he has finished, he comes and stands at our feet with his mouth wide open. Before he could talk he would just stand there, silently ’till you inserted food into his mouth. Now he stands at your feet and says “More!” or “Hungry!”, until, worn out and starving, you give-in just to quiet him, with the hopes that you might, if you are lucky – get 3 bites of your own food.
So, on Mother’s Day, after church, while Nathan was making me a magical luncheon of Tortellini in a White Wine Sauce, with Homemade Caesar Salad and Bruschetta on the side, Miles’ gave me perhaps my favorite gift of the day: He fell asleep on his own (no coaxing involved) and I got to eat my meal in one sitting – and I had my food all to myself…
Thank you Milesy Man, Mamma loves you!
