Last weekend I threw Nathan (aka Sweet Man) a surprise 40th Birthday Shindig. And it was an amazing afternoon spent with some of our oldest and dearest friends, many of whom we had not seen in a decade.
Here is a round up of the day, along with some of my favorite things about it all:

Xandra’s AMAZING homemade carrot cake.
Kids all over the yard.
Kids on the trampoline.
Grownups on the trampoline.
12 feet of sub sandwiches.
Industrial jar of pickle spears.
A case of juice boxes.
Candles and party lights when the sun went down.
Make new friends, but keep the old, some are silver and the other gold..
Chicken wrangling.
Pig chasing.
Sword fights.
Bike rides.
Camille’s cookies.
Laughter, laughter, laughter.
All the hugs. So many hugs.
Perfect weather.
The Gibson.
Family.
Cheese Dip.
A happy Nathan.
