make do {and make lovely} monday – an inspired giveaway

As you might remember from last week, my friend Amy Powers just released her spring issue of Inspired Ideas. I am so in love with this issue and I am bound and determined to do some spring inspired crafting this week during our break. Bound and determined I tell you.

On my list of crafting goals are these nest made from scraps of fabric. Things have been so busy around here getting ready for the book launch, big projects at school, and general life chaos that I have not even asked Sweet Man to get the Easter decorations down from the attic. In fact the Valentines Day box and one bin of leftover Christmas items are still sitting in our hallway.
Maybe I will make nest for the boys to use as their Easter Baskets this year.

Another favorite project in this issue are these adorable mini-cloches made from plastic party cups.
How cute are these? I may try something similar with mini-jelly jars. Or maybe I will just enjoy looking at them in the magazine. Let’s not get too ambitious.
Also included in this issue of Inspired Ideas in an excerpt from A Homemade Year, featuring this Holy Cross pillow. Amy has been such a great blog friend over the years and I am so honored that she included me and the book in this edition.
To celebrate both the release of A Homemade Year AND the spring issue of Inspired Ideas I thought it might be fun to do a little giveaway- a party favor of sorts.

  2. Been feeling inspired myself to create something for spring in the last couple of days, though this moring the chill and damp is back. Probably makes it all the more necessary, right? Like others I've already pre-ordered my copy but will give it as a gift to keep one that is autographed!
