When I was 16 I lived in Sandy Hook, CT for three months and worked as a nanny.
These days I work in a public school.
Sometimes it is my job to push the security button that let’s people into our building.
Yesterday’s tragedy hit home in many, many ways.
But I cannot even begin to enter into or empathize with the pain, shock, sadness and anger that those directly affected by yesterdays shooting are experiancing and will experiance for months and years to come.
Our prayers and hearts go out to those who will now have to navigate a world forever colored by loss. People grieve in different ways, but it is never an easy road.
We pray that comfort will find them in the darkest dark of nights.
