Hello friends. How are ya? How was your weekend? Restful? Peaceful?
Mine was good. Trying to get the book edits done (almost there!) planning out the last few photo shoots (can we say Easter, a little Christmas and some Fall in April?)
And packing -in faith-a few boxes at a time.
I was in Pottery Barn this weekend (always such a tranquil place for me) and I spotted the cutest knotted/puckered duvet cover. And then I spotted the not so cute price.
So I did what any self-respecting thrifty gal would do.
I searched a DIY version on Pinterest.
I think this version from Kojo Designs is the cutest and has the best directions.
In fact I think not only do I need the duvet cover, but I may need the iron bed frame as well..
So cute.
Love your new duvet cover!! So fun with the knots!! Have a great Monday! xo Heather
I saw a quicker and easier way to create this on line (somewhere) They used a king sized sheet and graphed the measurements out on paper, for instance, a small circle every 18″, then used that a measurement to draw the circles on the fabric – then they just gathered each circle – this prevents sewing a gazillion squares together. ( If your bed is a King, then you might need to use 2 queen sheets)…then you can back it with thin batting and another sheet – or even a light weight cotton blanket – then stitch it in squares (which she didn't do) – she left it as is…hope this gives you another option!! I am sure you could create this inexpensively
do you know your word verification is turned on?
Very cute!
So cute! I love that iron bed frame too…just divine!!
May I ask when your book is coming out and what it is about??
🙂
