Welcome to Thursday’s Confessions. A weekly feature where I confess, before you my sisters and brothers, the silly, the ridiculous and even at times the shameful. Why? Because confession is good for the soul. Even in Blogland.
Confession: I broke down and bought a new (to me) big girl camera off Craigslist. So now I have to learn how to use it. Which is exciting and scary and inconvenient. I am so impatient. I want to know everything NOW. I hate instruction manuals. Loathe them. It’s all gibberish to me. Luckily I have two sisters that are amazing professional photographers and are willing to walk me through learning. Also they know how to kick my hinny when I get sulky or impatient. Already I am picking up a few things. Like what aperture means. And it has nothing to do with the being apathetic about the rapture. Who knew?
Thank you for everyone’s sweet words yesterday. They mean the world to me, they really do.
Here are a few updates:
Chloe the Brave Dog: She is on meds for pain and a possible infection (she does have a fever.)
She is not eating yet, but hopefully if we can knock the fever out she will start again. The vet did these really cool laser therapy treatments on her joints that are actually pretty affordable. We will take her back a few more times and see if it improves. If not (and depending on the eating & drinking) we will deal with that when we get there. For now we still have our sweet gal home with us.
The house: We have an interested party. This is progress. Nothing formal yet, but it is the first bit of good news we have had on that front in a while so I am grateful. It is hard now not to feel anxious about the next step as we do wait for things to (hopefully) become more official. This whole process has been a journey of fits and starts. It is hard to keep holding back when I all I want to do is break free and run as fast as I can into the next adventure.
But you get that don’t you? I thought you would.
much love friends-
Prayers for peace and patience…. on the house, camera and dog 🙂
happy for your “big girl” camera! it's a journey 🙂 prayers on the Chloe and house front 🙂
I'm sorry Chloe isn't feeling well. Not fun when our babies are sick, even our furry ones. Sending happy thoughts your way! I don't know what aperture means either…. do tell!
