Welcome to Thursday’s Confessions. A weekly feature where I confess, before you my sisters and brothers, the silly, the ridiculous and even at times the shameful. Why? Because confession is good for the soul. Even in Blogland.
Confession: Summer has flown and I am not sad, I am ready for fall. I know there are those who are reviling and savoring the last of summer, but I am not that girl. I am good and ready to move on.
The past 12 months have been full of life changing ups and downs for me and those I love most, and to me, maybe because I am a September baby, Fall is the real start of the New Year . The chance to start fresh, to begin again, to relax into the familiar rhythm of birthdays and holiday’s and the changing weather. Every August there is one dark and rainy day when the sun is hidden and the temps are cooled slightly and I can believe in the hope of Fall. I know it is still at least a month away here in Arkansas, but the promise of it is enough for today.

I am a Fall kinda Gal too!!! I agree about being a September baby and having it be the start of a new year as my B-day is 8/29. To me it always represented new beginnings!
Good Bye Summer!! You've been great but we are ready for change!!

I have a birthday the end of August and that's when the new season starts in my mind. 🙂 Can't wait for the fall. There is a newness that comes with starting school again (we homeschool) and getting out the books and sharpening pencils. Sigh. It's almost here. 🙂

I'm ready! Here in the Yukon we are already getting the first signs of fall. The mornings are very chilly (3c), the berries are ripening for the bears and I've spotted the first leaves turning colour. So exciting!

You are not alone. I am so ready for fall. I was just thinking yesterday that I must be weird because I keep seeing all these posts about savoring the last days of summer while all I can dream about is being able to walk outside and not melt immediately!

I will not be sad to see summer go either. I love the cool, crisp fall weather. I am just biding my time till I can blossom in the cooler temperatures.
