The real Twelve Days of Christmas actually begins on December 25 and ends on January 6, so I feel that technically I have a few more days to claim “holiday mode” around here…
Even though I go back to work tomorrow, and the kids back on Tuesday, I am not quite ready to jump back into all my projects quite yet.
I do pinkie promise however, that if you will stick with me just a few more days, I will have some fun bits to share and maybe even a project or two for the New Year….
And I promise to share a good book post right away – in fact that is most likely how I will kick things off.
I think I need just a few more days to live in my head, to clean up my messes, to jot down my hopes and fears for this new year and tie up all the loose ends of holiday life.
After all of that I think I will be ready to happily re-enter into everyday life (and blogging) once again.

I think you should stretch out as long as it makes you happy. My hubby dragged me out of holiday mode before I was truly ready but now I am happily living here!
Ooooooh…I love your book recommendations. I read Big Stone Gap and The Miracles of Santo Fico after you blogged about them!
