The change bug has bit me and bit hard.
We are in the middle of re-doing our back patio/porch area and I have big plans, fun, colorful plans for it.
of course everything right now is in that really messy phase. I am trying not to freak out.
I have started freshing things up in the kitchen, and now looking at the pictures I am realizing how DONE I am with the yellow walls.
I have a feeling once I pick up a paint brush for the porch, the kitchen better watch out, cause I am going there next.
I lost my phone and so now I need a new one. Big (chunk of)change happening there.
The hard part right now is being patient, allowing for the changes to come at the proper (and mostly uncontrollable) pace.
I am not doing well at it.
I have ants in my pants.
I am having a little bit of a war with my inner brat.
Guess Patience is something I needed a little refresher course in.
Damn.
We started redoing the whole inside of our house in November. we took a break in January and have not finished, We have three rooms left and I to have an inner brat..I feel your pain…I have the sweetest husband so I don't want to push to hard!!!! Good Luck
I think us women need to get together and have home improvevement parties with our husbands tools and left over paints..to save money!
ha–i so understand this. everything is taking so much time around here. i'm so tired of going to basement to do the wash. i know the new mudroom/laundry on the main floor will be worth it, but meanwhile! We even had a contractor do part of it {door, windows, etc} You would think the rest of it would be down by now—-aaah, the DIY part always a ball.
This is a funny post……..just realize you're not alone. & I need to realize the same.
Then we decided to paint the downstairs…….i think we have bitten off more than we can chew!
Hugs,
kara
Dreamy curtains and grain sacks. As for the ants in the pants – we can all relate…but why do we do this to ourselves? The joy is in the journey! Good luck with those projects. 🙂
Love those curtains! That fabric is swoony. I'm also over yellow walls. I look forward to starting fresh in my next house because this one has lots of yellow paint.
I think it's spring – I've been in such a frenzy with projects and plans that I actually have thought I'm afflicted with some kind of mania. Sometimes you just gotta go with it. Your room is looking wonderful.
