Do you ever just wish for a blank slate? A mulligan? A do -over?
On top of so, so, so many other stressful things right now that I am trying to handle with grace and aplomb (and not succeeding very often I might add,) and on top of our luggage being lost in the airline messes yesterday (it should be arriving from Denver any moment now) that includes all my toiletries and several gifts for the kids from our trip, and compounded by girlie hormones and work deadlines and a house rushed out of and left in a mess a week ago, one final blow has left me heartsick more than any other – my camera, suddenly and without warning- has decided to not work. And I don’t know why. And it makes me cry. I love my camera. I feel lost when it is not around, ready to aim and shoot anything I find interesting, pretty or lovely. Also, it is an important tool for work, and I can’t list things on Etsy or blog coherently without it… So please keep your fingers crossed that I am able to get it healed and that it won’t cost a pretty (or ugly) penny. (I do think I have a warranty…again fingers crossed.) Not quite the homecoming you had expected from me I am sure. And not quite the homecoming I expected either. Why do we always need a vacation from our vacations? So among other Do-Overs and Blank Slates on my wish list, I would like a mulligan on this homecoming please. And could I get a margarita with that?PS- On a happier -cheerier-more-like-myself note: April 18 is my 2 Year Blogiversary and I am throwing a Grand Ole’ Hoopla complete with SALES, so stay tuned…
I grant you one do-over. We just had a luggage drama ourselves and I sympathize with you. The camera ….. the camera is a real drama. You just don’t realize how much you depend on one until the break. I hope it’s nothing serious.>>– Suzanne, the Farmer’s Wife

Whoops, didnt mean to delete that!>>Oh girl. I feel your pain. Last summer Matt and I drove back into town from our vacation and his car exploded. Ok, it didnt explode but a big bunch of black smoke came out from under the hood in and it stalled. After an expensive vacation, we had to clean out the rest of our savings to fix that car. It always seems to happen that way. Good luck, keep your chin up.
man, we really are bad luck, aren’t we? I completely understand if you never come visit again!>>sorry for your sucky homecoming 🙁>>I’ve been a cranky mess since you left for no explainable reason other than I’m tired & sore & the baby thinks it’s fun to head-butt my bladder…may be time to up the crazy pills….>>hugs ~>TG
Ahh, man… that sucks! I’m sorry it’s been such a hectic “re-entry”! Surely you have a warrant on that camera – you haven’t even had it a year! I’ll keep my fingers crossed. >>Hope your luggage arrived safely and your week gets better! >Love you – Tricia 🙂
