First of all, I think this picture pretty much says it all about Jemimah being home.
And secondly, after a very estrogen intense – chocolate eatin‘ – girl talkin – hair doin‘ weekend, I came home and immediately felt the need to fluff my nest, and proceeded to re-arrange the furniture in the living room…
First, I decided that since we don’t really watch TV much in this room anymore (we tend to all pile on our big bed if we want to watch something all together,) the whole room did not have to be centered around the TV armoire. Phew. So with that decided, I did what I have wanted to do for a while now, I moved the couch from against our only full wall, and floated it in the room, centered across the from the fireplace.
Next, I took off the poor pathetic excuses for back cushions and put our white summer/spring slipcover on the couch, adding lots of throw pillows as the new temporary back. (My intention is to eventually have 3 large down alternative Euro pillows along the back, sort of like the one in the middle now…)
After that I swapped all the furniture that was on the left side of the room to the right and vice verse. And I kicked my sweet mans big leather chair out. It is now residing in our room (again where most TV watching occurs) and has been replaced in the living room by this dainty vintage pink velvet chair in front of the window. I can’t wait to curl up with a good book & some coffee in this spot….
The left side of the room still has some issues… Some pieces that need to be painted, art work that needs to be rearranged, it feels a little messy and unfocused but overall I am loving the change … a little change always does me good!
Your house is so dang cute..cozy. The color on the walls is very pretty. I Love it. Do share..

Ooooh…I really like it. And GREAT idea for the couch. You know I’m excited about that. 🙂
I love redecorating with everything I already have. Put something old in a new place & it takes on a whole new sparkle.
