Today I got a surprise package from Jemimah! It was full of lovely things from her jaunts around Europe. Included in the package were magazines and papers from France and Germany, a mini Eiffel tower, wine corks (which I suspect were part of this find) and a glass with the letter “P” on it. For those who don’t know I collect linens and glassware that have random monograms on them…never my own…Sometimes I come across a “G,” but I have never found a “J”… Weird huh?
Anyway, I am loving it all, especially the shelter mag she sent. I can’t understand a word of it, but the pictures do not get lost in translation at all. I just get lost in all the beautiful colors and ideas… It’s just all further proof to me that maybe I live on the wrong side of the pond!
Also adding the continental feel around the house these days, are these goodies my pal Amy got me on her recent trip to France… I should be jealous of all these trips to Grand Paris, but mostly I am just super happy to have some lovely French things around the house…

Wait a minute, First you said we had to be Italian, now you say you have to be French, (oh and don’t forget about being a midwesterner) next you will say and rightly so, you just have to be Scottish!Such is the lot of Americans. Just a melting pot of beautiful jewels, just like you a beautiful tiara of exotic jewels!
speaking of thrifting, my yard sale is officially scheduled for july 21st. i am picking up all of my boxes this saturday, and will have stuff strewn across the living room all week – so feel free to come by and sift through!
