Today’s pic’s are all from the same day. I was doing a set-up for a TV segment on “Creating an Old Fashioned 4th of July.” These are some vintage aluminum cups that I have collected over the years.
Nathan and I went to a birthday party for our pal Peter and with all the kids running around
getting sweaty, and all the adults sitting around in shorts and flip flops, it felt as if summer was suddenly here.

I love the Fourth of July. It may be my favorite holiday (I say that about a lot of holidays don’t I?) But there is something about eating fried chicken on a screened-in porch and watching fireworks sitting on an old quilt that just seems good and true, no matter what.
Everything you wrote is absolutely true!>>Love the photos…I remember those aluminum glasses from 50 years ago!! >>Fried chicken on the porch…yummy!>>Pat>Back Porch Musings
Looks so inviting. Just like you! Hey, when will you be on TV? Gotta watch!
That was from a tv thing years ago. Look closely and you can tell it’s our old backyard!
